Evangelism
Mozambique Outreach is committed to preaching and demonstrating the good
news of Jesus Christ to the people of Mozambique.
Our desire to see Mozambicans given the opportunity to be developed into
strong disciples of Jesus Christ. We use a Chronological Bible Approach to
the preaching of the good news of Jesus.
Village Outreaches
We outreach into remote villages where we present the wonderful truth of the
good news of Jesus. In many of these villages, witchdoctors are usually
highly esteemed and ancestors worshipped. Animism (a belief that spirits
inhabit creation) is the principle religion.
Many people have found Christ as a result of these outreaches. Many have
been set free from demons and we have a genuine testimony of seeing
communities having been transformed as a result. Praise the Lord!
Prison
Our teams weekly visit the central Prison in Beira to preach and demonstrate
the good news of Jesus Christ to the prisoners.
Many prisoners have long sentences for the smallest of crimes, and cell
crowding leads to disease and death. We have conducted disciple training
programs there, and virtually the whole prison has come to Jesus and attends
the weekly courses.
Other prisons have asked us to come to their prisons because of the change
that has been experienced through Cental Prison.
Churches
We currently partner with several churches in Mozambique.
We believe that one of the ways to make disciples is to establish new
believers in strong churches in each district. We partner with local
churches for our outreaches and direct new believers into those churches. We
provide follow up training for our partner churches. We also provide
training on the Biblical method of church planting used by the apostle Paul
in the New Testament.
To train church planters, we run a 10 week church planting course - CTI
(Curso Intensiva Trainamento). We teach on Biblical church planting from the
Bible and the 'Pastor and Church Planting Manual' - developed by this
ministry.
Crusades
We are sometimes involved with international evangelists who come to
Mozambique to preach the gospel. From USA, South Africa, Australia and
Norway, we have combined to effectively reach many hundreds of Mozambicans.
Our follow up program sees many people incorporated into churches despite
geographical problems - eg addresses that are no more than how many coconut
trees from a path or creek their house is.
Discipleship Courses
Salvation - Chronological Bible Journey
Our focus is on preaching and demonstrating the good news of Jesus Christ.
Our aim is to see Mozambican people believe on and receive Jesus as their
Lord and Saviour. So with His help we are seeing hundreds of people saved

New Christian Classes
We have designed and translated a simple course adapted to Mozambican
culture and their level of education to make God real and deal with subjects
such as Salvation, Water Baptism, Baptism in the Holy Spirit, Overcoming
Sin, Authority of the Believer etc - while dealing with very real but
difficult issues such as witch doctors and multiple wives etc.
At the completion of this 10 week course, students are given a brand new
Bible and certificate
Foundation Classes
This 10 week course was designed and translated to take new Christians
further in their walk with God by teaching some of the foundation subjects
and doctrines.
Subjects such as The Trinity, The Creation, Angels and Demons, Heaven and
Hell and The Return Of Jesus etc leave the students studying and discussing
God and the Bible all week long. Certificates are given at the completion of
this course
Commands of Jesus
Jesus said as a part of His great commission to "teach them to observe all
things that I have commanded you". Matthew 28:19
We are developing a course that takes new believers through the more than
50 commands of Jesus eg. 'Love your enemies', 'Have faith in God', 'Beware
false prophets' etc. This course builds character in a disciple and leads to
a life of devotion and commitment to the Lord Jesus.
10 Steps of Obedient Disciples
This 10 week course was developed to outline 10 things that healthy
disciples of Jesus Christ do eg 'Read the Word', 'Pray', 'Take Communion'.

It also gives the church leader areas to teach on that reflect a strong walk
with the Lord.
Bibles & Training Materials
Bibles are given to new Christians at the completion of certain courses. In
this way, the Word of God becomes a thing of value and we find the people
reading it far more than those who have just been given a Bible when they
received Jesus.
All training materials have been developed and translated into the local
language by Mozambique Outreach . Our emphasis in developing them has been
to make them simple, relevant and God honouring.
Conferences
We are involved in conferences in Beira for pastors and leaders of all
denominations.
In this way we feel that we are of blessing to the entire body of Christ.
Key International and local speakers teach on a variety of subjects for the
purpose of training leaders to continue to reach out to the community
effectively.
